Corsair air 540

Tigercub72

Hi there

I am getting two 290 cards and putting them in crossfire. I am looking for a case that would be able to provide maximum airflow to the graphics cards as the dual 290's i'm getting are notorious for being much too hot.

I was wondering if this was my best option as it is quite expensive. However it does seem to have very good airflow.

Is this the best case to buy or is there one that is better?

Thanks for your time

I don't know if that is your best option, but I know that it is a amazing case when it comes to airflow, cause I had it myself. Well, I actually still have it sitting around somewhere.

290s aren't hot by any means, I have one running under a max load at 70ish degrees C in an airflow restricted case.

Yes, they aren't that hot, but hotter than a GTX 980 for example and in Crossfire they'll heat up very quickly. Especially the top card.

Define S

Noctis 450

S340

all have good airflow too

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

The general reference is aimed at AMD's stock cooler for the 290 and 290X.

The others like Sapphire's and Powercolor's and Gigabyte's cards are gr8 ^_^

But @ OP, I have the Air 540 and Im by no means using any high end cooling solution to keep my components cool but its still great. Its definitely a nice change from the more traditional ATX mid towers that flood the PC market. So yeh, Id say go for it, quality is good and its served me gr8.

Yeah I know it's a reference to the reference... Let's call it a common misconception :P
