New desktop for GF, where to find good deals in Canada?

KRSogaard

Hey all, i am looking to give my girlfriend a new desktop computer as a Christmas gift. My budget is 1500 and that is with monitor, mouse and keyboard.

Do any one have a suggested build? i would really like to get at least a 970 in there.

Also where in Canada can i find good black Friday deals on Computer components?

Games like Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield, Fallout 4 and so on.

Battlefront gives AMD cards a good 15-20% performance improvement over Nvidia so that's a thing to keep in mind.

R9 390 simply performs better than a 970 and isn't gimped (970 has a 224-bit bus housing 3.5GB of usable VRAM, 56 RoPs and slightly less CUDA cores - it's falsely marketed) - try a 380X - that performs close to a reference 970 and costs 70USD less.

AMD cards are currently simple better than Nvidia at every price point than the 980 Ti/Titan X vs Fury X
