Mayhems aurora 2?

I'm helping my friend plan out his build and he wants water cooling. He has found mayhems aurora 2 and thinks it would look awesome in a build. I am wondering if its a good coolant because i've never seen a youtuber use it in a build so far.

Can anyone tell me if this coolant is good or if we should just get some ek or some dye made coolant like jay uses.

Thanks.

Mayhem's aurora is only for short showcases, it is written with huge letters on their website.

If u use it for 1 day + then it will destroy your wc loop.

It won't destroy a loop. It's not compatible with a lot of blocks on the market and there are other considerations for the loop structure, meaning using incompatible parts or setup has the potential to create blockages, thus significantly reducing the flow in the loop or completely blocking it. Many have actually used the Aurora coolant in production systems. It's just not recommended and is not made for that purpose.

Wife's build: Amethyst - Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X570-P, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB, Corsair Obsidian 750D, Corsair RM1000 (yellow label)

My build: Mira - Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB EVGA DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X470-PRO, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, beQuiet Dark Base 900, EVGA 1000 G6

actually aurora-2 is designed for longer term cooling.  the original aurora, yes short term display only. but the new one is different. i still wouldnt use it for more than 2-3 months, but it is not just a display coolant.

There is a build log in the builds section with a guy who has used aurora 2 for a few months now, but he only has a cpu + single 120mm rad and I think 2 angle fittings. Seems to still be working for him.
