Intel Xeon 1230 v5
Go to solution
Solved by Senzelian,
I don't understand.
It's on Intel's website as well that's it's supported on LGA 1151 (or maybe not; FCLGA 1151? Future compatibility?)
I'm not trying to be cheeky; it's just that i'm seeing that it will work.
Kinda worried it won't now.
Also, thank you about the Intel Turbo Boost 2.0, but the 1231 had that and that processor also wouldn't hit 3.8 on all cores without something like MCE.
Turbo Boost 2.0 should be able to let it run above its TDP for 25s. Depending on your cooler it can achieve it or not.
MCE obviously changes that.
Just because the board has a 1151 socket doesn't mean it'll run.
1151 boards are available with a lot of different chipsets:
1151 Intel Core CPU chipsets:
- B150
- H110
- H170
- Q170
- Z170
1151 Intel Xeon CPU chipsets:
- C236
- C232
