FX9590 Overclocking

Well, its in and running, loaded one of my old FX8350 profiles so I had all the other basic settings to hand for a cheeky overclock.

I will play more once I have installed my custom cooling loop, as when I push this the VRM's will need cooling...

But it does have headroom... 5.2Ghz does not seem to be an issue...

This is now my highest every overclock and it took me 5 Min LOL...

Damn.

For keeping the power delivery cool, try a rear intake. A crappy fan with poor air "focus" will work well because it blows "sideways" =P

Got it for £299 so for that price I thought why not.

I suppose you just got it recently?

Running out of the box, it runs cooler than my 4.8Ghz overclock on my old FX8350... and its going to be 100% stable with no issues..

Turbo does kick in every so often, so you can see it hit 5Ghz... And so far is not using half the national power grid like some people have said...

FX8350 is £146 so the FX9590 for me was twice the price of the FX8350

To be honest its not worth twice the money as my old FX8350 I had running at 5Ghz but that was only after hours of playing around...

But of the box if you don't like overclocking or don't have the time is possibly maybe  worth the money if you can get for £299 and you really want an AMD as there a better Intel options for £300

That's a joke....right? So are you saying that the 3820k is 5Ghz at stock or that the 9590 is faster than the 3820k at stock? I'm confused.

I think if you can get an FX9590 for £300 then its an alternative to the 4770K

No i said at stock speeds the intel 3830k is as fast as a 8350 at 5ghz.

It's the same CPU you already have.

Haha. Like I said. Thanks a joke....right? Unless I am mistaken. The 9590 is the only 5Ghz default processor.

It's not 5Ghz. It's 4,7GHz. That is a difference. You guys fell for AMD marketing. they should try to invest more into research and not into advertising, only idiots would buy 9590 for anything more than 250$ if you can get Xeon e3-1230v3 I7 for that price.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?
