What games, settings, addons, and FPS?  Have you compared your system to similar systems already?

hello thanks for the reply. i have tried on fallout 4, mad max and skyrim.

fallout max 60 fps (when not moving or doing anything) then when moving sprinting or or moving into any npc area right down to 30 even 25 fps (can still see textuers not loaded and walk right up to them before they even load right)

mad max 60 fps drops to 35 ish when in combat or driving at high speeds

skyrim 60 but drops to 35 ish when in any npc or built up area. (again issues loading in textures)

i have tried disabling steam overlay, installing the latest drivers for my gpu and turning of vsync

What resolution on your monitor(s) - if that's on a 1080, that's pretty bad.  390 should be able to handle 3 1080's or a 1440 no sweat.

Ok, a few questions:

  1. is this problem recent, or has it always been like this? - recent could be a driver or update problem
  2. when you're gaming, do you have any other programs running in the background? - too much other stuff going on could slow game during intense processing scenes
  3. have you overclocked anything? Temps might spike and GPU could throttle back excessively.  Even with a decent FPS, if the frame time variance is high enough, it will cause a stuttering effect
  4. what are your temps? - high temps could indicate poorly cooled components - CPU may have bad TIM, cooler fan may have a bad bearing which slows the fan down, etc.
  5. Have you added in any power hungry addons?  If so, try running the games with them disabled.

Your hardware is good, so it's likely a driver, config or software problem.  Could possibly have flaky components, but when they are defective, they usually cause major problems, not just a slow down, although something like a PSU that lost 1 rail could slow things down.  It would be fine under normal loads, but not be able to supply much power on a full load.

Other than that, Google is always available, well, if you're computer is working and your ISP is up  :D
