I saw this video three years ago because it was posted on another website. 

 

Gave me a very bad first impression of Linus because the entire video just comes off as extremely douchey and condescending (Of course a $250 Xbox sucks compared to a $1000+ PC! Why are you harping on it! Sometimes people don't want to spend more than $200 to play games)

 

Eventually I watched a few other vids and have been watching daily ever since. That video is not the norm.

I found their video over 144Hz vs 60Hz earlier this year and thought they seemed familiar. I started watching several videos daily and joined the forums about a month later.

I found NCIX a couple years ago but never really knew anything about computers or was intrested enough to want to sub to it. after getting more and more intrested I started to get into linus. 

Now i'm watching pretty much every tech youtuber, mostly Linus, but I watch jay ncix Austin and mkbhd a lot too. *I also watch teksyndicate and paul but not very much*

handful of years ago watched some of his unboxings for ncix, been a fan since, didnt start watching daily until they got their first office though. up until last year i was still very dedicated to other online communities, but that changed, so been herenon the forums for about a year now.

First video I saw was their unboxing of the Antec Lanboy Air. It was done in a parking lot, free cam, on a park bench.  Back in 2010...

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

I stumbled upon it when i randomly googled the most powerful graphics card for PC just out of curiosity when I was a console peasant. At the time it was a GTX 590, there I found linus and then watched from there on.

I'm pretty sure this was the first video I saw of his. I first saw it a few months after it was uploaded because I was shopping around for a new laptop for school and wanted to figure out if I wanted Win 7. I started following his right away, and I lurked on the YT channel and then later the forum until Mar 14. I've been becoming much more active since.

It hasn't been more than a year for me, but it feels like it. I came across a video last spring break because I was planning to buy a gaming laptop. I learned instead that a custom built PC would be much better. I planned my PC for 6 months while researching nonstop about it. Took me 6 months, but I now have my PC built. 

This video was so confusing to me because I thought GPUs were just drivers that you install on any computer and make your computer faster. Kind of like the 'download more RAM' idea. I didn't know what those cards were.
