(MicroCenter) Black Friday Deals - i7 4790K for $250 and more

PlamenDrop

If you have a Microcenter near you they have some price drops on their already low CPU prices for Black Friday...

http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/AdSpecials.aspx

> i7-6700K for $360 ($340 when bundled with MoBo)

> i7-4790K for $250 ($230 when bundled with MoBo)

> i5-4690K for $180 ($160 when bundled with MoBo)

Unfortunatly the processor are in-store only, but there  are various other small online savings as well.

*Side note: If you're looking for a dirt-cheap CPU, you can get the A6 7400K Black 3.9 GHz Dual-Core for $20 if you pick it up with a MoBo.

Man, the 4790K is really tempting over my potato g3258. But a 2 hour drive though...I wonder if I can talk the product manager down to $225, LOL.

You're probably just better off buying it for $300 from newegg then if you live in a state where newegg doesn't charge sales tax, considering if you're going 120 miles each way, 20 miles a gallon at $2.00 a gallon you'd be paying $24 in gas and then if you have an 8% sales tax rate you'd be paying $20 in sales tax. So you'd be saving $6 for all your time and effort. Plus you get Just Cause 3 if you buy it from newegg.

why the sad face??????   that's one hell of a deal.  I would have gone with that deal if I wasn't so invested into skylake.

Got that 4790K deal last year, and it's been great.

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

Sad face was mildly sarcastic, mostly just not used to paying tax on electronics. I wanted skylake, but skylake would have cost $175 more... That's 20% of my entire build.
