are Razer "green" mech keyboard switches good?

does anyone have experience with that kind of switches? .... i know ... razer ...pls dont throw stones at me

i heard razer used cherry mx on their deathstalker keyboards

now they use their "own" switches

are they similar to the cherry mx?  brown or others?

I think they are similar to Blues, maybe with not such a noticeable accuation point. Personally I feel very 'meh' about it. One time I am kind ok with them and other times they just feel overly cheap.

They use Kalih switches which are just Cherry MX knockoffs. The quality control on Razer products nowadays really isn't that good at all. I had a Razer BWU for a little while and speak from experience. The keys felt different from each other and some weren't even level with each other. Returned it for a Corsair K70 and have never looked back.

They use Kalih switches which are just Cherry MX knockoffs. The quality control on Razer products nowadays really isn't that good at all. I had a Razer BWU for a little while and speak from experience. The keys felt different from each other and some weren't even level with each other. Returned it for a Corsair K70 and have never looked back.

They basically feel like Blues, and they aren't too bad unless you're a purist for Cherry, Topre, or Alps.

I was more surprised by the Razer Oranges, not a bad feel imo. Though I think Tactile as opposed to Clicky and Linear switches are starting to grow on me overtime.

I paid something like $130 or $140 for my BWU back in 2014. The K70 (Non RGB, mind you) was $10 less and I've seen it dip under $100 online.

i heard razer used cherry mx on their deathstalker keyboards

now they use their "own" switches

are they similar to the cherry mx?  brown or others?

I have one and really love it... if you have a Best Buy or something near you go and try them for yourself.

I think they are similar to Blues, maybe with not such a noticeable accuation point. Personally I feel very 'meh' about it. One time I am kind ok with them and other times they just feel overly cheap.

Of course it's more expensive you ding dong the K70 RGB is RGB while the Blackwidow Ultimate isn't.

 

Compare apples to apples. The normal K70 is like ten bucks more than the Blackwidow Ultimate. With that $10 you get genuine switches and an overall better and more consistent build quality.

In that case the Chroma is the same price as the K70 RGB. You get a more quality keyboard for the same price at $170.

I had BWU, but it felt cheap, not really well built.

 

Went with Das Keyboard and never looked back.
