Your Favorite NCIX Tech Tips moments!

LinusTech

Hey Guys,

It's official. At the end of this year my tenure on NCIX Tech Tips - the channel where I uploaded my first ever YouTube video - will be over.

https://www.youtube.com/user/NCIXcom/videos

So to celebrate we'll be doing a special edition of Netlinked Daily where I tell some stories about the early days and reflect on the best moments of that channel.

But I'd like to hear from you guys if there's a special video, or special moment that was really impactful for you and that you'd like to see featured :)

Post your links (with timestamps plz) in this thread. Everything else will be deleted.

It's so difficult to pick a particular video. Why? Because all of them were so good. Sure, the production quality was terrible (for ... reasons), but there was so many useful tidbits, handy tricks, combined with jokes, and an entertaining host. This was how i got into PC HW and SW: start with the basics, and that's what was great about NCIX tech tips.

Although, the futureproof video was pretty useful to me as someone who was about to spec out a pc.

Here is one of your video that I was trying to watch when I wanted my 8400GS card to bring Surround sound setup (with my 1x900p monitor and 1x768p CRT monitor) to my living room. Apparently it was a fail. Ha ha I laughed about it now.

Then I started watching your videos. :) It's been 6 years now! :D Never missed your videos (some :P)

i know it's not ncix channel, but who cares

A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it.

Isn't this your first Linus? I can't remember. You looked so nervous.

From my short time watching them, as well as agreeing with TheOfficialCzex, it has got to be this:

(apologies if the video does not appear... it's been a long time since I have ever had to link stuff in forums, but I'll fix it later than necessary).
Not only is it like a really dodgy ad for a product, but it's also probably one of the tamer builds you've done (not like the quadzillion fps you get on a £400000 budget with 8 million Titans in SLI!).

Another one I found is a recent one (mainly the bit before the intro):

The intro to that, as well as the rationale behind it gave me a very sensible chuckle whilst doing coursework (in fact, my computing teacher told me he used your CPU video in his 6th Form computing lessons!)
