Getting a Ipad soon so I was wondering what are some of the best/must have games on IOS. Thanks :)

Well alright lets see..........

 

1.) Solomon's Boneyard: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/solomons-boneyard/id387497198?mt=8

     This is an oldie but goodie. It's a twin stick shooter where you get to choose from a number of aspiring mages who are tasked with taking down the titular budding        villain. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated to accommodate newer resolutions and screen sizes, but hey it's free now!

 

2.) Infinity Field: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/infinity-field-hd/id391766089?mt=8

     Another twin stick shooter (I seem to like these lol), this time in the vein of Geometry Wars, which actually is on iOS itself. That said Infinity Field is a classic, and

     has provided me with endless fun over the years. 

 

3.) The Quest: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-quest/id305553708?mt=8

     In a word: enormous. The Quest in an old style, grid based, first person, turned based RPG. Sort of similar to more well known games like the recent Legend of

     Grimrock (and Grimrock II). Did I say this game is massive? You get thrown into a large open world, TES style, and are free to roam and do as you please. There's 

     a main plot of course, along with dozens of side quests, numerous zones, towns and points of interest. Oh and did I mention the game has 14 expansions?! That's

     right, fourteen expansions, each one adding a good dozen or so hours to the game. This one is a real time sync, but it's also sort of niche. I'd recommend trying 

     the free demo if you're not sure you'd like it. 

 

4.) Galaxy on Fire II: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/galaxy-on-fire-2-hd/id465072566?mt=8

     Fly in space. Do escort missions. Engage in a galactic economy. Dogfight, in space. Loot, in space. See pretty graphics. Basically if a huge, story driven space

     flight adventure game sounds good to you, check this one out. If you like it, check out the first game too. That's one's a fair bit uglier however.

 

5.) Infinity Blade: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/infinity-blade/id387428400?mt=8  

     An old guard of iOS gaming, this was the first time such a technically impressive game was seen running on a mobile device. To be fair however it's a very simple

     game, with no free roaming, only allow you to move between predefined points. That said for what it is it's really fun, a screen slasher at it's finest lol. There are

     also two sequels, that take the rather barebones plot of the first game and run with. If you like this one check those out two, they add new gameplay features.

     Oh but I'd recommend picking this up on sale for $0.99 rather than full price.
