350D Build for a mate

Lyons

So, I have a friend who is Apple-convert who wanted to get into PC gaming, but didn't want to wait to learn all about the hardware because it'd delay getting a rig together, so I did a build for him. It's closer to the budget end of the build spectrum.

Specs:

Case: Corsair 350D

CPU: i5 3570k

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X

GPU: EVGA 760 ACX

Mobo: Asrock Z77M

SSD: 128gb Sandisk Ultra

RAM: 8gb Kingston HyperX

Tight, but clears...

Done!

Load temps don't go over 47°C on the second hottest core (stock clocks). Boots super fasts, plays any game at 1080 maxed. All fans are on a Molex 7v adapter, and it humms along at a very low, comfortable level. One happy macfag user  :D

Laptop Lenovo Thinkpad X220 - CPU: i5 2420m - RAM: 8gb - SSD: Samsung 830 - IPS screen Peripherals Monitor: Dell U2713HM - KB: Ducky shine w/PBT (MX Blue) - Mouse: Corsair M60

Audio Beyerdynamic DT990pro headphones - Audioengine D1 DAC/AMP - Swan D1080-IV speakers

Nice budget build. It's also nice to see more people using the 350D, seems to be a little under-rated.

Nice clean build, I would have thought the 350D wouldn't suit an air cooled rig but I was definitely wrong .
