Reusing Thermal Paste Syringe after a Year

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

Thermal paste doesn't really have an expiry date so as long as it's not dried out or anything has separated out it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi

Can I reuse a syringe that still has thermal paste in it if I first used it about a year ago?

I still have the syringe that came with my AIO radiator and I'm planning on moving the radiator and in the process will change the orientation that the pump/block combo sits on the CPU.

The syringe has had a cap on its end the entire time and has been kept in the box inside my house.

Thanks

I don't see why not. Just check temps after you apply it to be sure no funny business happens.

Given its chemical nature, I don't really see an issue with using fairly old paste.

Yea, its not like its food, so theres no reason to expire. Although I did once eat a bit as if it were food...
