good except the CTD which is expected bearing in mind it's still in PTU

The Deltas 190m/s!

don't forget after burner speeds (double tap the shift/boost button)

@rucdoc do you want use to do acceleration test like combat to max cruise or braking times?

Arena commander performance is a LOT better. Easily getting 100+ FPS in Vanduul swarm with no stalls when ships spawn in.

The Baby PU is another story though. FPS drops are pretty bad in some areas.

Where can I find the information of what has changed/etc in PTU 2.0? I can't seem to navigate their website any longer.

Some data for your maths ;)

Version: Alpha 2.0.0-305217 (live)

Precision (all): 50m/s

Gladius:

SCM: 235m/s

Afterburner: 325m/s

Cruise: 945m/s

Constellation Andromeda:

SCM: 255m/s

Afterburner: 420m/s

Cruise: 975m/s

M50:

SCM: 285m/s

Afterburner: 400m/s

Cruise: 1030m/s

Avenger Stalker:

SCM: 235m/s

Afterburner: 320m/s

Cruise: 1150m/s

Aurora LX:

SCM: 190m/s

Afterburner: 300m/s

Cruise: 445m/s

Cutlass Black:

SCM: 220m/s

Afterburner: 300m/s

Cruise: 990m/s

Mustang Omega:

SCM: 265m/s

Afterburner: 400m/s

Cruise: 1120m/s

315p:

SCM: 225m/s

Afterburner: 370m/s

Cruise: 475m/s

P-52 Merlin:

SCM: 240m/s

Afterburner: 290m/s

Cruise: 1245m/s

Retaliator:

SCM: 180m/s

Afterburner: 230m/s

Cruise: 1020m/s

F7C-M Super Hornet:

SCM: 225m/s

Afterburner: 330m/s

Cruise: 945m/s

While the Aurora and 300 speeds were a bit disappointing threading the needle at Port Olisar in a Merlin at 1245m/s is a whole lotta fun :D

Edit: The other interesting thing I noticed is when I first took the Gladius out I bumped the wing tip, just a little scratch, a tiny bit of yellow right on the end in the damage display, it didn't affect SCM but my max afterburner speed dropped by 5m/s. I either wasn't astute enough or crashed before I had a chance to check its affect on cruise speed.

Stalker and Merlin are faster than the M50 in cruise speed? That's odd

Yea the stalker in particular surprised me, likewise the sluggishness of the 315p... I'm guessing we'll see some tweaking in future patches but there do seem to be some interesting trade-offs between SCM, afterburner and cruise speeds between the different ships.

Not too surprised of the merlin, as all it is is practically just an engine with a seat and steering; granted, I'd expect it to be nearer to even with the m50. Not even much fuel, so the load that it bears is even more minuscule than the m50. The archimedes, as a racing variant, may be faster.

Still new, but learning

Collecting data now with the new flight model actually makes no sense, as changing your load out already changes your SCM speed. I.e. I replaced the M4As on my SH to Sawbucks and doing 245m/s in SCM + in the last meetup I had my Hornet pretty banged up and because of all the lost weight my flight computer allowed speeds of over 500m/s. (proof 12:30)

So to get more comparable data we'd have to strip everything of a ship and be careful not to damage it but then we still don't know how heavy thrusters, MAVs and power plants are (maybe even more components needed for core flight functionality)

Did you know this forum has an unofficial/official Star Citizen group? Head over to our organization's page, numerous forum threads or our LTTC Discord Server to find out more.

All the speeds I grabbed were stock models with no damage. I find the differences interesting more than anything else but another potentially more important stat would be acceleration, you can definitely feel the difference between the ships but to measure/chart it would take way more effort than just playing around with your (and other peoples ;)) ships unless someone can pull it out of the files :)

Its all of course very much subject to change now (and for the foreseeable future) but I think it gives an idea of what direction they're taking with each of the ships and there were definitely a few surprises in there for me (not all good :(), I'll be interested to see how they tweak each of the ships going forward.

Also if anyone has a Mustang Gamma I'd be interested to know how it compares to the Omega, whether its the same just with a slower boost recharge or if the scoop weighs the Omega down a bit or if its even been tuned to be slightly faster.
