It seems that Nintendo will be releasing games in their pipeline free to play at first.
Really only one of them has actually been announced but there are apparently more to come.

I'm pretty excited to see where this goes, I'm not huge into smartphone games but I cant say im not a fan of things nintendo makes.

I see this as being a good way to try a game before deciding whether you want it.

I wonder if their offers will be as good as emulating their older consoles.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I find that being free to play is a bad idea

Since now the games will be full of in app purchases and micro transactions that will make the games hard to enjoy. Instead of paying like 10$ at once you'll be paying in the ex of Pokemon go $.99 for 5 poke balls etc

I dont think they are free to play forever. they are just free to play while in development

Isn't this kinda old news already? And nothing is really free-to-play on mobile. Either its whole screen ads or some boosters crippling game you will pay for.

Maybe in a fantasyland, Nintendo willl drop the consoles and focus on making their games for mobile and PC platforms. The Wii remotes can still be a thing, those work very well with a PC. Just up the ante on the hardware, is all!

Its going to be interesting to see how Nintendo juggles their mobile games with their handhelds, which have always done better long term then any of their more recent consoles.
