Great cinematography :D

Nice to see display outputs other than hdmi on laptops these days. I took it for granted on my old gs70, but it still bothers me on the razer blade.

Gotta love that tiny origin login window xD

As always you have a great production. It's a really well done review.

Just one question:

Is the screen running at 48Hz at all resolutions or is it only when it's running at 3840 x 2160?

As far as I can tell its a limitation of the panel, so always

I suspect due to nvidia optimus, you will be stuck with that refresh rate in all resolutions.

Nvidia optimus causes many settings like the custom resolution portion of the nvidia control panel to move the intel hd graphics controller, and that does not let you tamper with the refresh rate.

Well, that is a really strange choice for a panel.

Nvidia optimus causes many settings like the custom resolution portion of the nvidia control panel to move the intel hd graphics controller, and that does not let you tamper with the refresh rate.

I was more thinking more of along the lines of, if you could run it at, say, 1920 x 1080 and then achieve 60Hz.

Some panels are capable of running at greater refresh rates if you lower the resolution.

Also, is there any interpolation if you run games at 1080p on the 4k panel?

Linus kept going on about this before the 2014 blade came out, but when I tried it 900p on the 3200x1800 panel looked pretty awful.

Looks fantastic IMO at 1080p, interpolation was really good and it looked no worse than my m18 at 1080p, possible better since its a smaller display

Yeah, but the intel hd graphics control panel dosent let you create custom resolutions that have higher refresh rates.

I tried to bump down the resolution of my panel, and typing in a refresh rate of 65hz, but it artificially limits you by saying its out of spec.
