660 ti Sli vs 970

mrdestroth

so as of late my performance has not been stable in modern games and im looking to get more solid performance. I have a i5-3570k and 8gb of ram witch i feel will be ok for the time being. Im already running a single 660ti and i was thinking about looking for a very cheap additional 660ti for somewhere around 100-150$ to obtain about a 20% boost in performance or should i put a bit more cash aside and go for the 970 I only play at 1080p have no plans on jumping resolution any higher anytime soon and have no concerns about higher power consumption or noise just want performance and to save money. I hope you guys can help me make my decision.

sell your 660Ti and get an R9 390 instead, better than a 660ti and a 970.

I wouldnt get another 660 ti, maybe see if someone buys your current one for 100 bucks or so, then get a gtx 970 or if your PSU is good enough you might also wanna have a look at  the r9 390, though I'd get Nvidia

there is no point in running low end sli cards. just get a better single one. if u were to sli, costs that are needed would match a better single gpu anyway, u need more power, sli supported mobo, case that can support sli/good enough for airflow and many more
