Case Fans for R4

GeekJump

Currently have the Define R4 windowed version with the 2 stock fans (decent noise lvl) as front intake and 1 140mm exhaust that was a stock fan from an old cheap rosewill case (that 1 is loud!).

Looking to 'jazz up' my pc while also upgrading air cooling. Whats the best case fans you'd recommend? Probably looking to get 2 120s and 1 140mm as my current set up is. My current color theme in my case is mostly red.

I hear mix things about corsair fans but like the look and interchangeable color rings. I only hear good things about noctua's performance but that poop color! What ever happen to those black editions I saw in an old Linus video? Can't find them on sale.

Or any other brand you'd recommend?

I use Fractal's Silent series or Venturi fans (whichever you can afford, they're both good). I also have an NH-D14 and the fans that come with that are arguably on par with Fractal's fans - they're so underrated I think.

I'm probably just going to get all Venturi fans whenever I upgrade my build next year. They're black, they're silent and they're not as expensive as Noctuas.

Actually got some BitFenix ones in mine as I wasn't bothered about buying Noctuas and they are rather quiet still and provide good air flow.

First, not going to lie...I spent half the time looking at your post staring at the beautiful profile pic...

I've also seen some people recommend fractal's fans so I'll have to take a 2nd look. The main thing drawing me to corsair is those colored rings. But I don't want to pay for just a look if they preform only slightly better and just as loud.

Didn't really set a budget for this but the corsair 120 twin pack is currently around USD 30 or less. And the 140 is around $15 so I might stick around that $45-55 range for all 3.

I only briefly looked at their fans but if I remember right, I couldn't find any in stock available to me or the shipping made them just as high as some of the expensive ones (In the US and mainly shop on amazon and newegg)

I haven't used the SP fans from Corsair, but the fans that they include in their AIO's are horrible. The moment they get to a decent speed for cooling, they become abnormally loud with a really annoying noise - which is why I haven't personally tried their SP fans.

I think the 120mm Venturi fans are $15-ish? Something like that, depending on your location.

The black fans you're referring to are probably iPPC Noctuas. They shouldn't be hard to find but are usually pretty expensive.

Corsair QE's with rings are decent and are great for aesthetics.
