Power supply help

Giggidy25

I am looking to get a good power supply for my upcoming build. I am confused on what is good and bad and need some guidance. I've heard antec has reliable PSUs but as I said I do not know. I need enough power for an i5 and a 290x so ~650w is what I was looking at. By all means I don't want to cheap out but at the same time not spend a ridiculous amount of money. I would like to keep it under $90 being the absolute max. Any suggestions and recommendations would be awesome!!

Also I think at thag price I can get a gold psu or more... I do not totally know the good from the bad. Any help is awesome thanks for putting up with me!

Join the cult following of the PSU whitelist in my sig! :P

For the money you have an EVGA GS or G2 can be afforded in USD. If those are too much then check out the Antec High Current Gamer or EVGA B2.

What kind of dollars are you using?

650w would provide plenty of headroom for oc'ing but a good 550w should already be plenty.
