Laptop under 1K€

LukaP

Hey :)

Need one for uni... What i absolutely need is a quadcore, So either a 4720HQ, or a 5700HQ. A good GPU is generally nice to have.

Also it needs to be shipped to slovenia. :/

been looking at this one

Does it have t be a 4720? Because if you'd also be fine with a 4710, there's lots of laptops with that CPU out there, and you may be able to get a 860m or 960m for a similar price.

Well there is the Lenovo Y50 with 4720 and 960m (the only one that came to mind in that price range as an alternative, the 1TB model), if you can live with that screen (but iirc the GP62 also has a debatable TN display). Interestingly Notebookcheck rated it higher than the MSI.

The Lenovo upgraded their screen to IPS on this model, and the 960m is Maxwell as far as I can find.

Also as far as as CPU goes, 4720, 4710, 4700, 3630... there is almost none to minimal difference. If the CPU matters, I'd go for 5700 if I had the chance.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

This costs a little more, but I think it would be good. The price indicated already includes VAT.

You should be able to get a y50 for under 1k. AFAIK, list price (Germany) is 900 euros for the 960m with the non shit screen.
