Blu-Ray Drive Making Insanely Annoying Knocking Sound

Its been going on for the past month but not as fast and annoying as it is now...

This is a prebuilt pc so ya...

Any help is appreciated.

 

And how do I upload a vid if over 2mb?

 

Edit: Sound is a bit faster and windows doesn`t even detect the drive anymore...

Nope, its out of the ordinary. Ive had it for 5 years and this is the only problem.

If I disconnect it, will anything be messed up in windows? Or just in general?

If you disconnect it you won't be able to use it, but other than that it will have no effect to the rest of your system.
