Depends on your render distance, what biome you're in, where you're looking and what version of Minecraft you're using.

You might get a maximum of 1000fps but get an average of 400fps with normal gameplay.

Even with SEUS ultra shaders and max settings I can still hit 60fps+

So can I, even with a 256bit texture pack.

Although at times I think my GTX 970 wants to kill itself as the GPU clock speed suddenly drops and the next thing I know MC has gone from 60FPS+ to utter shit.

Same here, I set up my SLI profile properly too.

 

As for bone stock, maxed out I get ~1900 looking at a wall or floor and ~700-800 playing normally.

When I dont use any shaders I hit like 2K in flat worlds. But Im usually using either SEUS Ultra or just a plain motion blur shader, which is pretty self explanatory, all it does is add motion blur.

Not like it matters, Minecraft is a standalone Java program, meaning it's 90% CPU dependent.

You can force it by changing the rendering mode in Control Panel to "Alternate Frame Rendering 2" for the java.exe and javaw.exe.
