24k gold plating 980ti (two of them) need help picking

Ok so some you you might have seen the 24k gold 750ti that i just did, and i love the way it turned out so much that i want to do it to an sli 980ti set up. Problem is which 980ti should i turn gold? I was thinking about the msi 980ti and making all the red parts gold or just going with the same ssc ac2.0 cooler like the 750ti and gold the whole thing again. Below are pics of the msi 980ti and my custom 24k gold 750ti

Edit, the 750ti was done ver quickly cause it was for fun, the finish is great but the coverage could be better, i would take alot of take on the 980ti's and probably do close to 10 coats and not just 2

I think just doing the accents would look better. But that's just me.

Honestly, the 750 Ti looks weird. Did you do it yourself? Gold plating should look more even than that. Maybe you paint something on it first, to make the gold adhere better?

That doesn't look gold plated.  It looks like it had gold foil tightly wrapped around it like the way you could with aluminum foil... there's wrinkles in the gold.

the gold was put on that way on purpose, gives the card dimentions, just a shiny gold smooth surface is boring, i could do that with paint if i wanted to. Here is my xbox 360, give you a better idea of how the gold reflexs back when you layer it

I guess....it looks really bad that way in my opinion. You want it to look glossy and shiny, not like fibrous stuff falling off of it.

nothing is falling off, its a rustic gold look. Not a metal plating look. Like i said anything can be shiny gold, thats nothing special, i want gold that has character, gold that has depth and emotion.

Ok maybe i worded this wrong, its not gold plating, its gold flaking, i take shreded sheets of gold and adhere them to the plastic cooler, thats what give it that look, for a smooth look i would have used full sheets

Looks a little tinny and flaky to me. Like gold leaf. Maybe go for more of a gold brick look?

Ah yes, whenever I buy gold things I'm always getting that hard sell of something that looks both luxurious and akin to being in the titanic all this time, rustic and luxurious... has a certain ring to it...

At the end of the day, if you like how it looks then that's all that matters. To me it just looking like a bodge job.

I think just by flaking the red accents gold, you'll have the best looking TF5 card.
