The AM3 motherboards and AMD FX is kinda old technology now. And would you need the CPU cooler if you're not planning on overclocking?

I'd imagine that a Pentium CPU and H81 motherboard with the stock cooler would be just fine.

If you want to go the AMD route, you could ditch the graphics card (the Nvidia GT-series cards are meant for multi-monitor setups) and go for an APU quad core system that uses an AMD A8 CPU with inbuilt R7 graphics.

Yes.

Also, you should get the OS from g2a or microsoftsoftwareswap for 1/5th the price, and that same legit copy.

Yeah I would consider a different CPU & mobo, and a higher end graphics card.

Do you need an optical drive?

Make sure you get 2 sticks of RAM if you get a dual channel CPU

The rest looks good though, nice picks for cheap!

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

1. DO NOT GET A FX, get a intel

Because games are getting ridiculous in their requirements.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Please enlighten me i dont fallow. Why would he spend HALF his budget on a CPU? Like i know a couple of games are CPU Core bound but like not enough to justify dropping 250 on JUST your CPU?
