for a teen shooter and a sci fi take i think it stands up well and I think if you add the fact that there will be many more upgrades i think anyone who wants a game thats a mix between Destiny, Cod and battlefield, this one kinda is.

 

also the heroes are a unique take and im excited for what they might add to the actual game.

I think it was great. I think they're going a smart route as well by adapting the game to fit the current model most multiplayer combat games are going with. It allows those who may have no experience with Star Wars enjoy a game they otherwise may not have. Also, when it comes to the missions is where it gets a little different and more of a Star Wars feel. I loved it and can't wait for it to come out and enjoy the whole game.

Is it just me or is getting headshots in 3rd person really easy?

It looks beautiful, and my g3258 + 750ti can play at 35- 43 fps on ultra (no aa) pretty. really well optimized. I like it.

 

My only other fps is Titanfall, so I'm not the best judge for an fps but, I like it a lot. I would preorder (crazy right?) if it weren't for my G3258 crashing. I'll definitely buy it though, sooner if that issue gets fixed.

 

Edit: I could just be a Star Wars fanboy though...

For the people saying its a Battlefield game reskinned... I have no idea what you're playing but it isn't Battlefront. I personally think its something I will play for at least a few months or more. It really depends on what they add as DLC honestly in terms of if I'd play it again.

I had hopes for it honestly but certain aspects of it make me wonder where the game is going, also I'm always hesitant with EA as they have destroyed some franchises that I loved in the past, this time they at least seem to be making a good attempt but for some reason I'm kinda of the opinion that it will be meh, might need to mess around with it more to get a better taste then decide from there.

Yeah it isn't battlefield imo either, it's more like grayblizzard said a cross between cod and destiny, but more so it's just a different shooter that borrows from many recent titles

I've been enjoying it.

I'm going to wait until after it's released to see how the missions, other maps, and upgrade are before buying it though..

It seems really easy though, I stayed in top three most of the time I've played it..

In most first person shooters I'm bottom five at best lol

Well it would seem most people enjoy it, does anyone know if other weapon types besides blaster rifles as main weapons will be implemented as one of my main gripes is that I'm a sniper/seiger in most fps, so I tend to use shotguns and extreme range weapons

I like the graphics and the gunplay so far, however I find myself only playing a game or two at a time. I might pick it up after reading a bit about the other modes after release.

Its going to sell well but very few people are going to be playing it in 6 months. Its not Battlefield, it lacks the mix of gameplay and decent gameplay mechanics and team work.

Seems basic, but fun. There's ranked matchmaking so it'll be fun even if it's basic. Will probably pick this up.

Overall, the beta has been fun and the game is looking promising.

 

I would like to see in the final version:

 

- Server browser - While the match making works as expected and perhaps call me old fashioned.. but I much to be able to jump on a server from a list that's been filtered down to my region and whatnot. I did feel at times I was in a server where my latency was putting me at a disadvantage. 

 

- 4 play squads - The whole partner thing is seems moot to me. I've been playing with a group of friends and finding that I can only partner with one on a team was lame when there is four of us..

Yeah I'm officially done with it as it has begun to annoy me that all matches I'm in have predetermined outcomes, if playing the sullust map mode whoever has a player quit before the match loses, if playing hoth empire always wins. Plus the best weapon is nothing more than spray and pray, my opinion of it worsens with each match and I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up due to EA being involved.
