How do companies(alienware/origin) ship water cooled PCs?

If your shipping it by plane then planes are pressurized so that wont make and difference. If you're shipping a custom loop just drain it completely (and let it dry as much as possible).

Hi, i need to ship a pc with an aio cpu cooler, and maybe one with a full loop in the future, how would i do this?

Thanks!

magic

no but seriously i dont know

Probably some excellent packaging since differences in temperatures in shipping could mess with the liquids and i doubt they make the end user fill there loop themself.

an AIO should actually be quite safe, much safer than most air coolers (most of the weight is in the rad, which is firly attached to the frame), it shouldn't require anything extra, the GPU is likely more at risk than the AIO.

shipping a (well mounted) AIO cooler is actually less dangerous than shipping a tower cooler, because an AIO has MUCH less leverage over its mounting points.

ok, but what

For an AIO I'd say that you should just tighten all the screws but not too much and make sure the tubing isn't bent at a ridiculous angle.

ok, but what about the liquid? the pressure differences and other things

If it is your own pc and you are just moving country why not just remove your AIO?

Most are. Unless it is really old I'm pretty sure cargo holds are pressurized
