pretty sure they they would have considered this themselves at some point as well.

couple things to keep in mind tho:

- a "high end" company like noctua has a lot of secrets

- theres not too much amazing production in a fan, at least not much film-able.

- it costs a lot of money to make a video like that, and someone has to pay it.

Because Noctua doesn't have the money to fly them out to Australia, Feed them, give them decent internet, and pay for a return trip.

They are just too low-level (even though they are the only cpu coolers (aside from stock) I use in clients systems) in the cooler space.

Yeah maybe if LTT bought a little more from them.  Not that they don't use a lot of fans, just, they don't cost that much.  Now, if the company bought several million dollars worth of product on a yearly basis and there was legitimate educational value in seeing it done, then it would be a different story, but that's just not the situation.

Having been there before doesn't make it shorter ;)

But I didn't know they've been to Germany... when was that?

For the Cherry and Sennheiser tours, and I think they were also invited to Germany by BMW for a high-tech car review. Because I know they reviewed a high-tech car from BMW, I just don't remember if it was in Canada or Germany.

Didn't they say on a WAN show that they would only do things like factory tours and what not... If they could do more than 1 in a particular place?
Is there another company in Austria where Noctua is based, that they could tour as well?

It wouldn't make sense to fly there just for doing a review/tour of the Noctua plant. If they could include another location or two, or meet with the modding community there it might be worth it. Not sure where BeQuiet is located, but they could meet with them possibly?

Because watching a video of linus walking through a factory furiously masturbating isn't really entertaining or informative.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Alright... Let's say that they do have enough money in the PR Budget to do this.

But how do we know they want to? How do we know that Nocua just doesn't make their fans with Slave Labor.

Also... A fan factory? Do you know how boring that sounds? I mean something that quite literally blows, and is overpriced. The tech fandom so will always confuse me.

Noctua has been pretty hand in hand with Linus over the last few years, theyve got a relationship in which Noctua wouldnt just "say no"

Hey, if they go to a keycap factory, how much more boring can you get...

Noctua didn't have the money to sponsor LTT videos, and I've spoken to their PR guy a few times, they don't come off as the people who sponsor stuff, they like to let the products speak for themselves. Notice I said PR guy - not PR team.

While they make a fair bit of money (and are subsidiary to a large company) they don't have a marketing department and spend little, if any, money on marketing.

Not saying a tour won't happen, Linus and Noctua obviously get along well and arrangements could be made.

I'd love that. Or even just a basic "lesson", giving the public an idea of how the basics of aerodynamics and how they're optimised for each use case. I know it may be a little boring, but I quote like the idea of a few more educational style videos. Like with the recent Logitech headphones style of video.

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?
