Rendering / editing workstation under 2000$

Hi, I would like to build myself a rendering / editing workstation but I don't really know what parts to pick.

I mostly work with raw DSLR footage on Premiere Pro and will eventually make special effects with After Effects.

I have thought of an i7 6700k,

                                 Corsair h100i

                                 Kingston HyperX Fury 16gb

But for the video card and the monitor I really don't have an idea of what to choose

Thanks in advance for your precious help !

edit : I'm from Canada, so stuff is a little more pricccceeyy here...

12-thread processor, 12GB VRAM Titan X GPU, 650W 80+ Gold PSU, DDR4-3000 RAM. Yeah, this is the way to go.

If I'm not being incredibly stupid, I would probably swap out the Titan X for a 980 Ti and go for more RAM, a 32GB kit maybe.

Sig under construction.

Yes, it's not bad, but the Titan X's major benefit over the 980 Ti is twice as much VRAM. This Titan X I found for $660 on SuperBiiz is basically the same price as a 980 Ti which is half the VRAM. 32GB is not justifiable with the programs the he'll be using, and it will certainly not fit in the remaining $97 that we have left.

Maybe get rid of the 6TB HDD? It's a lot, but WD Greens are extremely reliable and he won't have to upgrade for a long time.

I don't believe that halving the VRAM would have such a great effect on video editing capabilities but then what I know?

I don't particularly edit video but even just multitasking with a good amount of Chrome tabs I often find that 16GB is nowhere near enough for me.

And I would probably get rid of the uber capacity HDD, yes.

Sig under construction.
