Please help... H100i

Hello! i have a spare rig here with a corsair h100i but i only have 3 of the thumb screws to mount the cooler onto the cpu, would 3 be ok or would it be dangerous?

I would try and find a nut or something that fits in order to tighten it down, - it wouldnt be dangers with 3 , but you will have to monitor the temps to make sure tere is no issue, really it needs to be mounted properly though

I wouldn't you don't want to risk overheating your CPU. From my experience the H100i isn't that good with the 4 screws anyway, I had to put o-rings behind my backplate to actually make it contact completely.

Thank you for the speedy replies guys! ill use the 3 and order some new ones, i couldnt find any on corsairs site unless im a 100% idiot and didnt see it >.<

You can probably take one of the bolts you currently have to a hardware store. they can match it up and probably have one exactly like it in stock.

 

Can verify as i have worked in a hardware store and did this a million times.
