VLC Script for CCTV Camera

Greetings! I am hoping you guys can point me in the right direction on how to do this. I already have the camera setup on the network and can access via VLC. What I would like to do is have a simple script that is a desktop icon that when clicked would launch VLC camera stream. How would I go about this? Thanks!

Create a shortcut to VLC. Right click the shortcut and go to properties. Add the URL to the network camera at the end of the target box. Works for my mjpg stream. You may experience some lag though as VLC someitmes buffers 1 second of network content before starting playback

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. In the current era privacy is just fallacy and nothing more.
