download while in powersave mode

Hello guys,

I want to download some of my Steamgames which are kinda big (50-60B) and im downloading with 300kb/s so it takes ages. thats why i want to download them over night but im not sure if they can download while my pc is in power save mode.

 

Is it somehow possible to download them over nigth without pc making noice?

Unplug your fans? Your computer shouldn't even be producing much heat if it's only downloading stuff.

its not about the heat but when i sleep my head is basicly above my computer so i cant sleep with all the noice.

 

 

And i heard when I make that my HDD will work while power save mode that it will work then is that true?

1) Set the hard drive to never turn off.

2) start your download.

3) turn off your monitor.

 

Should be simple enough.
