Universal TV Remote Not Working!

I just bought a universal TV remote cause the other one broke, I used the auto find feature but I was only able to turn the volume up and down for the TV. In the instructions it said you have to search for a code, but I don't know the code number! (LG TV)

the remote can probably search for more codes 

otherwise you need to google for the codes to the device

 

personally I would just get rid of that one you got and get a logtech harmony

work so much better and can probably find one for 30-40$
