Z2 still getting love...

this is why i stick with Sony.... they know how to treat their customers, even "old" customers....

Same goes for LG. I'm surprised that G2 is getting 6.0. Really great news. Sad to see the first Sony Z is not getting it considering it was the best competitor G2 had.

well i had the Z1... honestly, the Z and Z1 was good.... but...

Z2 is nearly perfect...

It has a few issues, but damn man... 3200mah battery, put it into stamina (power saving) and it lasts a week + with medium use every day.

I'm still on the fenced of Z5 Compact or Droid Turbo to replace my Droid Mini. I'll get the Compact if Verizon (ughh I know American phone companies and ISPs) will sell it unaltered and less than the $450~ retail price, they'll give me a Ballistic Turbo for free (not really free but with a loyal long time customer discount that removes the phones cost and make the bill $5 less).

It will take forever, much like the transition between ICS and Lollipop, but I'm glad to see so many devices (even older models) getting the upgrade. (Including my Z3).

By now Apple would ha most likely stopped updates to their phones of the same time period./s

My bad, it's a rumor that other sites are reporting as a confirmed thing because it was benched with 6.0.

To add to this, today I received invite to Sony's Marshmallow concept program, which is supposed to start next week or so. Hopefully this one will feel a bit more productive than the last one I was a part of just a month ago

This is good, but it'll probsbly be the last major update for my Z3, I doubt android N will be released on it without rooting it, but it's good to know that my phone will continue with support past the shaky lollipop,

i had to laugh when you insinuate that 18months in the phone market isnt "ancient"

i have to laugh at the pathetic attempt at a comeback. most contracts are 2 years, alot of the LTT members have phones older than 18 months or older, not only is 18 months not ancient, its still current in most cases

So Z and Z1 was removed from update together..

So Z2 and Z3 will be removed together..

Z3+ and Z5 together..

even i remember, arc and arcs was removed together..

So for longer updates it is better to get next one Z6 and from reports snapdragon 820 is a killer..

Funnything is Z1 uses 800, Z2 uses 801 and Z3 uses 805... all the three are almost same.... If they can develop for Z3 they can easily port to Z1..It is just simply stopping update..

SD805 on a 1440p screen isnt that great. Even your droid Mini will beat it: Adreno 320 on 720p screen. I know, since i had an Xperia SP, with virtually the same specs as your Droid Mini and have tested a Note 4.

Z3 uses 801. And i have heard reports that they will be releasing flagships only in H2 of each year. so there will only be the rumored Z5 Ultra in march and Z6/7 in September
