H55 or H60 (common qwestion) (2011 socket)

Hello yes i wanne cool my CPU down... is a H55 or H60 worth it? i can get a H55 for 50$ & a H60 for 67$ what makes the H60 better than the H55?

Or should i just buy a good AIR cooler like noctua?

Please tell me wich is the best bang for the buck...

Id recommend the air cooler but the H55 is pretty good for budget.

I'd rather get a NH-D14/NH-D15 by Noctua.

Step the price up, a Corsair H110, NZXT Kraken X61.

My case wont fit 2x 120mm.

I can maybe just maybe get a second hand H80IGT for like 50-65 EURO...

Worth that?

Budget under a 70$

I have the H55 on a 760 and it does the job quite nicely, not as high performance as some of the other coolers, but it does well enough with the fans almost silent

if you want to overclock though, you should look elsewhere, something with two 120mm fans or a thick single 120mm rad would be a minimum for overclocking on 2011 IMO

These temps tell the H55 is boss...

Based on my own experience, I'd go for the H60 simply because of the much simpler installation. H55's bracket kit is a bit tricky if you don't consult the manual. And in terms of performance, H60 stock fans are spec'd better compared to the H55's, a bit more ideal for cooling the rad. 2.36mm/H2O vs 1.9mm/H2O.

With that NZXT case in your sig, then yes, the D14 should fit fine.

Cant really put in 2 systems in 1 case...

The H55 rad is pretty nice. I myself have one on my 8350 and 2 Corsair High Performance AF 120mm fans in a push/pull config on mines
