How bad was your first PC?

abt

I'm actually very curious to see how bad everyone else's PC's were before they got their ultra mega super awesome gaming builds.

Mine was some Dell desktop that we got from Walmart. Had 4 gigs of memory and on-board graphics. EWWW.

Cyrix 486 running Windows 95. It was so bad I could not play mp3 while doing anything else, mp3 playback would slow down the system to a crawl. Still I was able to play things like Doom, Blood, Carmageddon and Baldur's Gate.

I used a AMD Duron 1300MHz with 1GB ram and a NVidia Geforce4 440MX until around 2011. This was budget hardware in 2001 (apart from the ram).

First PC was a netbook with a Atom, 2GB RAM, Windows XP, I installed Snow Leopard on it which was pretty cool.

First desktop I built was a A10 7850K, 8GB 2133MHz RAM, 128GB Kingston V300 SSD, Terrible Case, Terrible Motherboard, no GPU...

It was terrible in games even though it shouldn't have been so bad with the fast RAM and stuff. I should have overclocked it but I didn't really know how back then. I sold it to my neighbor who just needs a email and MS Office machine which is what that's good for.

G3258 @ 4.5 | 8GB Team Vulcan RAM | 128GB Kingston V300 SSD (I didn't know what I was doing when I bought it) | MSI H81I Motherboard | Corsair H55 with Noctua NF-P12 | EVGA SSC GTX 960 4GB | OCZ 550W Fully Modular PSU with Noctua NF-A14 | Cooler Master Elite 130 (Soon to be something cool)
