Need a new keyboard!

xDanielxOossiex

Hello guys! I recently upgraded my graphicscard from a GTX750 to GTX970 =D. And now, after I sold my 750, I really need and want a new keyboard.

I'm now using a Dell office one. My budget is around 50 Euros.

I don't know the difference :P

It's not of any significant importance, first find a keyboard that has the features you want or need then worry about the less imporant things like switch type and color.

What are you looking for in a keyboard? Do you want/need a backlight? Do you want/need macro buttons? Do you need usb/audio passthrough? Do you need a detachable wrist rest? Do you need a wireless keyboard? Tell us what you're looking for so we can make a better suggestion that might fit your needs better.

For your price point i would suggest looking at logitech keyboards, if you can up your budget to around 80 euros look at corsair and razer however logitech have some in this price point.

I want it for gaming. Nice if it has backlights. Don't really need macro buttons, but would be nice. No usb of audio passthrough. Yes, I would like a detachable wrist rest. Don't need a wireless keyboard, I know wired could be faster, especially for gaming.

So you've never tried one. Well, In my opinion, you should go try a mechanical keyboard if you can. If not, you can order the sample kit here. See which switch you like. Though keyboards with Cherry switches are more on the expensive side, you can order it just to see how mechanical keyboards feel. If you like them, look into kailh mechanical switches. Those switches are cheaper but still have the mechanical feel.

Edit: Try a Tt eSports Poseidon Z keyboard if you want backlighting and macro keys. Its on the cheaper side too.

What about the Logitech Gaming G105?

Well it's exactly what it looks like, an inexpensive backlit keyboard with a few macro buttons. It's not outstanding in any way but it's also not a bad board. Logitech's software is also very easy to use and works well. It can also be found on sale often for quite a discount. I've used it and I have it's bigger brother and I've found nothing wrong with it.

basically for gaming mechanical is very good but I think you won't find one for €50

Having used both for gaming I would argue that the difference is not even noticeable, the features like macro buttons(if needed) actually make an impact on gaming whereas the switch type does not.

I noticed no difference and I log 10+ hours on my PC a day. Obviously everyone is different but I maintain my point that other features are more important.

K70 RGB/ Strafe RGB. Or a regular K70 or Strafe. Ducky makes fantastic keyboards but no wrist rest unless you buy one elsewhere. I love my Ducky so much.
