Fitting an NH-D14 SE2011 on a 1151 socket

Any ideas if this is possible, they sent me the wrong cooler (CCL computers) and so now I either have to get a replacement, will take like a week. Get a mounting bracket, nm-i115x about £15, or try and find a way to work around it.

 

It is a Maximus VIII Ranger Motherboard and a Fractal design Core 2300.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I would get an 115x bracket, even if it means waiting. That cooler is just too big to 'guetto mount', it could cause real damage

You can try to get bracket for free from Noctua. Send them your receipt and which bracket you need. It will take even longer than paying for bracket.
