Looking for good cooler.

Hi guys,

I am looking for a good cooler for my computer. I already have a cooler in place but I am not sure if it is going to be powerful enough. I am looking to do heavy gaming and overclocking. All help is appreciated, thanks.

Unless you're planning on doing some FSB overclocking then the Hyper 212 should be plenty. If you want more security, go with an H100i.

Well, the 212 is okay.

But if you want to get the most out of your CPU without running into thermal limits I would get something better.

A be Quiet Pure Rock for example does a good job and is still quite cheap.

Get a Cryorig H5 Ulitmate/Universal. They offer great cooling performance at a decent price ($50). Or a Cryorig H7, as they are about the same price as the 212 EVO/ Pure Rock but preform a bit better.

How high of an oc are you shooting for?

Why an i7 just for gaming?

If you haven't bought the parts yet, you should probably allocate funds differently for a better display.
