Unable to install Windows

Flash7

A friend gave me his laptop(Toshiba Satellite) to reinstall windows on, which I said yes, thinking it would be simple. I made a windows 10 disk put it in my laptop(a laptop owned by me) and installed windows 10 easily on it. Then I tried the same thing with my friends laptop. It copied the files quickly, but on about 2% of expanding files it gives the error: 0x80070015. It gave the same error with Windows 7 install disks.

Also, if you try to rerun the installer without restarting the pc, the harddrive is no longer listed as an item to install windows on.

And one last thing, when you try to format the disk using command prompt, it gives an error and then it won't list the disk any more.
