CPU Cooler Recommendations?

Go to solution Solved by smith315pm,

the kraken x61 is great at keeping temps down, and the software is decent ( a lot better than corsair link) iv just build a new pc for my friend 6700k and it idles at between 25 and 30 degrees with the fans on at only 25 percent (silent setting)

Looking for a good CPU cooler compatible with the LGA 1151. Any recommendations? (Liquid cooler please)

I like corsair stuff, preferably their GTX line. So like H100i GTX or H110iGTX.

Rad thickness, and with "measurements" would help a lot :)

EKWB Predator 240

Or the Predator 360, which has a QDC so you can add a GPU to the loop if you want.

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

Sorry. Forgot to mention. I only have space for one fan on the radiator. Editing now. :P

Do you know of any liquid coolers with one fan on the radiator? If not, I can always move stuff around.

Edit: Should I look into moving things around or should I just go with the cheaper one fan cooler? *Gonna be overclocking with the i7-6700k*

i think the kraken does a single fan model. not sure what its called, i wouldnt over clock too much though on a single fan cooler. also what are you using your new pc for? i mainly game and went way to over kill on the cpu, so i dont over clock at all i just keep it at standard and just love the fact that my cpu doesnt even hit 50 degrees under 100 percent load and the machine is literally silent all the time

Thanks for advice. I'll be sticking with the one fan without overclocking. Quick question though. I see some people who install the cooler with the fan on the inside. Isn't this worse then installing with the fan facing outside? Is it just preference? (Sorry. New to liquid cpu coolers)

you want the fan to be taking the air out of your case it can be at either side of the radiator so long as it it drawing the air out of the case, otherwise you will just get warm air built up in your case
