On the hunt for a 1920x1200 monitor

Mict

Hey guys,

I am looking to buy a 24" IPS 1920x1200 monitor.

Right now I narrowed my choices to:

ASUS VS24AH-P - 220$

Dell UltraSharp U2412M (Certified Refurbished) - 230$

I am leaning towards the Dell but it is refurbished... Is that fine? (Sold by TECHarvard and Fulfilled by Amazon.)

I don't wanna go over $230 which is already a stretch.

Thanks

You are much better off getting a 1920x1080 ips monitor as you have far more choices to choose from.

You can get a 144hz or 120hz one, one with gsync or freesync, and so forth

But if you were considering the Gsync XB270HU which is a huge panel lottery on if you get a defective one or not, consider waiting for the XB271HU.

Yes and no, with Revision 2 as of this summer units have been far better with quality control.

Yes I really need the extra 120p and this will not be a gaming monitor but a work monitor so I don't need the extra HZs or G-Sync.

In that case, I would go for the Dell unit, I've used their Small Business section years back and had a great experience with panels through them including with issues that cropped up on 1 2209wa unit.
