Need a New Router

So, I am sick of the Optus router we have (Fuck you optus, you are horrible people). It's a Sagemcom F@ST 3864. It's probably the worst ADSL2 router there is, and it's functionally is at a bare minimum.

I've got around $150 to buy a new one, and I live in Australia.

Anyone got some recommendations?

Op do you need a router or a modem/router? The Optus supplied is a modem/router, are you planning on still using it for the modem and buying a separate router or do you want an aio?

Do you need wifi in your router - so do you need a modem/router/wifi combo unit?

 

Would you be willing to mount an access point in a better location than you router is and use 2 separate devices (a router and a wireless access point)?

Can you set your ISP modem to bridge mode or can they supply you with a modem?
