They look pretty good. Shame I just spent about the same amount on a pair of D-Link AC1200 APs though. Would have definitely got these instead assuming those prices are accurate. Especially if I had had the sense to run a couple of network points to spots on the roof when I ran network cables everywhere. Would have been a lot neater. But it's pretty hard to justify the "upgrade" given what I have is working.....

True, but it would have been far easier to justify if I didn't already have decent gear. That said, I'm definitely adding it all up in my head even though I doubt I'd get any speed boost. I have a UPS on my network gear now so I could keep them running even during a power outage. Only true for one of my APs as it is. Plus it would look pretty neat so there's also that. But that'd literally be the end of the advantages.

..... but, 2 of these. Probably $130AU each? $150AU? Then going through the trouble of another two Ethernet runs. I don't know. As tempting as it is there are cooler things I could spend a few hundred bucks on. I'd definitely be getting them if I was starting from scratch though :)

It would be cool if only because it'd look neat and give me more speed and I'd still get full coverage in a power outage. True, its always a matter of prioritizing your money towards what you want the most or need the most :(

Why cant we all just have everything!? :P

I can totally vouch for Senetic - buying a lot of networking stuff there..

Their prices are not the lowest you can find, but they are not crazy expensive either - they follow the general market values pretty well, just be aware that as a consumer you need to look at the price with tax (BTW)

Their shipping was a bit expensive, but I did the purchase as a company, so I'll get the taxes back :D

-snip-

I'd be hyped as well if our distributors wouldn't double the price upon import. The AC Light is around 150 here. Those bastards...

saw them on amazon US other day.

I am not in US but can normally ship to me. Our distributors have too much old stock on hand to purchase new ones I think.

I'm kind of pissed at Senetic atm, they said they had the product in stock.

Today I get a call and they tell me they won't have it for up to 8 weeks...
