I might want to expand. Mining for coins with any type of consumer hardware will ALWAYS result in a loss of money. if you're interested in a currency, than purchase them, mining consumes a lot of power when done 24/7, and will greatly out-way your gain in BTC. 

BTC is also probably the worst coin to mine for starters. Cryptocurrencies are extremely complicated when you start to dive into the Crypto world and discover other types of Cryptos and software and OS's, there's so much to it to just end in loss.

At this point in time Mining isn't worth it, it costs more in power than what you actually earn. Also mining on a laptop really isn't recommended since it runs it hard and can shorten the lifespan of your laptop.

You're better off finding the next big cryptocurrency, sell your laptop, buy some of it for the money you get from selling your laptop.

bad idea, unless you dont plan on using the laptop ever and have free electricity (or a stable price) its a bad idea,mining with laptops is a bad idea, niming in general is not a very good idea.
