No, they're just capable of understanding that times have changed, and the FX cpus only make sense in a very tiny number of highly select cases. Just because FX cpus may have made sense years ago due to their price point doesn't mean that's the case anymore, and it's not.

I've enough evidence to fight my corner but I'd rather jump out of my flat than waste my time explaining and digging it up for you. Most comparisons I get shown are stock settings etc and I honestly cba going into why it's fucking stupid. Intel are stronger, that's true, but an AMD overclocked correctly can perform real world tasks just as well as an intel e peen extension.

You can oveclock the FX chip.

Times have changed and so have prices hence why I recommend Skylake i5's over the FX.  ;) OP already has one, and uses it for video editing, so for him to get the best use out of an upgrade its i7 time.

Really? I didn't know, Did you know they too can hit 5ghz and completely destroy the FX too? I did, but do I care? nope. My system is overclocked and I'm making the best out of it until I can upgrade to skylake i7 or x99 nom nom nom.  ;)

So can a Q6600, and ironically your 2012 chip has the same (similar) IPC to that of one from 2008~.
