NZXT Grid Question

Really quick question here so I figure the I would just throw it on to the General discussion board. I want to know if I can change the speed of the fans connected to the NZXT Grid if I connect the input 3-pin power to an external fan controller such as a Bitfenix Hydra Pro.

I think the grid connects to a molex connector so all the fans run at full speed. It might work if you switch the 3 pin to molex connector to a 3pin 3pin cable but you would have to check the watts on your fans so you don't exceed the limit.

I think they're a constant speed. You can however just get some fan under-volters.

Not 50 fans but just so that I can control the speed of multiple fans in one area. For example if I want all four fans on a push-pull h100 I would put them all through the Grid. 

 

Edit: I have a bitfenix Hydra pro now and I like that I can either go loud and proud with better performance or silent but with slightly higher temps. My only problem is that I have more fans than my Hydra can handle(five) (six in total now but that would go up to 7 with a push-pull h100)

If you are connecting it to a fan header, check the maximum current that your header can support to avoid frying the header. I would keep it under 1A.

30w is 2.5a, you should get swiftech pwm splitter cable with pwm fans instead so it ll go silent at idle and loud under load automatically.

12w is 1amp, 24, 2amp and so on...

Hi guys

 

I recently buy a NZXT Grid+, all the fans are working just fine, but i can't see him in the Device Manager

 

Already try to unplug and plug everything, uninstall and re install but nothing until now the fans are running at max speed, no problem when I'm gaming since I use a headset so I can't here the fans

The problem start when i using the internet or watching a movie

 

anybody know how to solve this problem? my mobo is a UD3-990FX 

 

I plugged at a usb3 port, need to plug in another place?
