LG G-Watch | The Perfect Entry Level Smartwatch?

Hello Everybody!

Today I am looking at the LG G-Watch. The G-Watch isn't exactly new, but it still offers some really compelling value at $100, making it one of the most affordable android wear smartwatches on the market.

I know that feeling. Honestly, for a $50 difference I would say that the design of the Moto 360 would be worth that price difference, and if you think you are going to be getting a decent amount of use out of it then it would be worth it. For me the Moto 360 would be at least $200, so the G-Watch made sense. In the end it depends on how much the design matters to you, but since it is a fashion accessory to a certain extent the Moto 360 wins in that department.

You made a comment about motion gestures and something I have found( with moto 360) is that if i whip it works perfectly to wake it up every time. Also i enjoy using motion gestures to scroll threw notifications but i also ocationaly get some wierd looks for it.

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.

I do try whipping it up, and it does work sometimes. However, I have still found it pretty inconsistent for actually waking it up. And the motion gestures are something which are cool, but you do get some strange looks hahaha!

Which watchface is that?

It is the 'Simply Lines' watchface which works with facer, you can download it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Facer/comments/3g6y59/watchface_simply_lines_a_clean_digital_watch_face/

To get it to work with my G-Watch I had to do a little bit of tweaking to get everything aligned properly.

I haven't tried the G Watch yet But I had a Moto 360 and the battery life was just too low. If I used it a lot I could run out of battery in the first 8 hours away from the charger light usage got me from the charger too the end of my work day with 18- 22% battery just too little to depend on. I had too return mine because of it. (this was after the battery improvement updates)

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.

Going to be honest; with the style production quality of your videos, I can definitely see you becoming a popular tech YouTuber in the future. Great review!

Thank you, I'm glad you think so! It's a really competitive market on Youtube right now, so getting noticed is difficult. I'm glad you enjoyed my review though!

Did you find it that bad? I haven't had experience with the 360 myself, so I didn't realise that the battery life was that bad. I would like to get my hands on a 360 at some point and try it out, and I also wonder if the second generation will improve on the battery issues the original had.

a lot of people think it was the older processor that caused the bad battery life.  The new one is using a more modern SOC. I'm hopeful for the gen 2.
