GTA V Coming to PC "This Fall" Says Nvidia *UPDATE* Nvidia Retracts Statement

EChondo

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/126778-GTA-V-Coming-to-PC-Says-Nvidia

"Many consumers look for PC as a general purpose device they can use for browsing, email, social media video. But much of this can be better served by a tablet. In contrast, gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto V and Assassin's Creed IV"

Yes! This fall so there won't be a 6 month delay!

*Edit,

http://www.gta5cheats.com/nvidia-retracts-gta-5-pc-statement/

Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list. This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.

It appears Nvidia has made a mistake, GTA V isn't coming to PC this fall.

Keep on dreaming. Like Take2 and Rockstar will allow for it. Too much money would be lost in it. It was always  Console release -> about 6 months -> PC release.

That was a reply to thread name suggesting GTA V on PC will show up this fall.

To the article it was well known that it will be released on PC even without petitions from gamers. Petitions only show Rockstar how much they will generate from PC release. Sad news to AMD users (in terms of graphic cards; like myself) that even if port will be good the game gonna be optimised under Nvidia like it was in Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV.

There is no way. Like i stated in other thread. They wont announce PC version before the console release due to lowe sales if most people would know that there is also PC version on the way and not buy console one. If they did it there is no point in releasing PC version after few months. They would need to launch it with console versions.

They count that most of us will buy console versions and then also PC ones. I dont care much about it because im waiting for PC one with fixed bugs and errors found by console gamers like it was in IV.

GTA V, The successor to San Andreas that had a multiplayer mod made for it that today has tens of thousands of players on it and the new game that has the much more rounded RAGE engine HAS TO COME TO PC.

All that fun, rockstar has to do it.

GTAIV ran fine when I had an 5000 series card. I've never seen significant disadvantages of a game being "optimized" for Nvidia/AMD.

My only hope for GTAV multiplayer is that it doesn't kick you off multiplayer for alt+tabbing for a second because "the game is running to slow."

Well i though the same that IV is just bad port. But San Andreas with rain and smoke partition is slowing down to 20 FPS on a 7950, but enough of offtopic.

Same here. GTA 4 ran actually very smooth on my HD6850, and I don't think that a HD7000 - Series card really has all that much problems with it.

But again, I really hope this isn't as bugged as GTA 4, which was in that department a complete desaster. I didn't enjoy GTA 4 as much as I did GTA: SA anyways, so I have HIGH HIGH hopes for GTA 5

if this is true, I'll buy the game, if it's not I don't feel like paying for a game this awesome on something like my xbox 360, it can't even run naruto ultimate ninja storm 3 without occasionally having some lag spikes. it's not bad, but still the game isn't nearly as complex as GTA V.

Yeah, but even if they will make a good port there is still possibility that they will again work with Microsofts GFWL and Securom.

Stop your incoherent rambling, no one is listening to you... in fact I don't think anyone even knows what you're talking about.

I'm yet to see you assemble a single sentence that can be understood the first time around without having to decipher the damn thing.
