3000 Model imo.

What are the best PSP models with a UMD drive?
PSP 2000? 3000?

What model is more reliable?

Want to use it to play PSP (UMD) games on it and possibly install an emulator too..

I have two 3000s. They both still run, and I still use mine. I just ordered a camera to play Invizimals and what not  (2€ + shipping, so why the hell not)

Depends on if you want to jailbreak it or not. I don't think you can jailbreak a 3000 but idk

Hmm, will keep that in mind Maihym.

Thanks for the suggestions you all :)

What do you guys think a 3000 model would be worth second hand now? Was never into the second hand market of PSP's, so don't know their value.

Hmm, sounds a bit more expensive than I would like.

I was thinking about 40 euros or so, but will look around at the price here.

Can either of your recognise what PSP model this is? (online advert I am looking at, doesn't say what model it is)

-snip-

That's a 3000

And you can probably get them for less than that, but for me it was a good deal, i mean it was in really good condition with a lot of extra's.

Oh and 1 tip, if you want to get a lot of memory 4 cheap, get an sd to mmc adapter, i have one that can take up to 2 32gb microsd cards, and microsd is really cheap soo... I think i got 32gb + adapter for 24 euros.

Thanks for being so super helpful :D

I will now have to look around on second hand sites and flea markets and stuff for a good deal :)

Some thing to recognize what model it is:

Check in what color the power text is printed, if it's green it's a 1000, if it's not green it's 2000 or 3000

Start and select buttons are the second thing to recognize models, the 2000 buttons are shaped like half a circle and 1000 and 3000 are completely rounded at the edges, more like an oval.

If someone is selling one its because he doesnt need/use it anymore, which means that the seller might accept a low offer just to get rid of it. Well, its worth the shot. Good luck ;)

3000 becuase there newer and the laser would be less used, but I loved the 1000's UMD drive build.

I have a PSP 2000 but screen is worn out and joystick is broken. One of the best portable consoles imo
