Good 1080p TV 48-60" that last a few years ?

Tai Tran

So I'm looking for a TV that is not too expensive but not cheap and has bad quality. I'll use it for normal gaming with the XB1, nothing crazy or competitive. And of course for watching movie and sports. So pretty much a normal TV that everybody use. I've been looking around and I only stick to LG, Samsung, Sony and Vizio. Now I've never owned a TV before so Idk which brand to go with. Every brand has tons of complains about different things and that really confuse me. Vizio seems to have the one that is perfect for what I want. 55" 1080p 120Hz $600 but the reviews about Vizio TVs are not so good and Idk if it's gonna last me at least 3 years. LG, Samsung and Sony are of course better and they're more expensive too and there're so many options to choose from. Hope you guys can help me with this. I prefer 55" but I don't want it to be way below 50" and the price should be around $600 and $700 max. Thanks in advance guys  :D

Not sure what the price is in the us. But the Sony 48W650B is amazing. I got one in my living room. It was the best budget tv in 2014(my opinion).

Plus it got low input lag.

How long have you had it ? Is there any problem with it ?

almost 2 years. I no i haven't had any issues. Runs flawless. The color presets are also really good.  29ms in input is really good for a tv. So if you wanted to game you could do so.

Is it 60Hz ? Idk if I should care about 60Hz vs 120Hz because the prices are significantly different

Input lag matters more. The hz you see on tv specs are useless. Mostly because it's software processed and different tv manufacturers have different types of hz.

I'm aiming the Vizio E-55 mostly right now because the specs and the price are just so good. The only thing that is stopping me from buying it right now is idk if it's gonna last me a long time like LG, Samsung and Sony Tvs. Price differences are so big.

The only thing i can say is that i love my sony tv's. In the past the only two bad things about them was no vesa mount and bad smart tv. But both of those issues is now fixed on the 2015 line up. I love sony tv, back in 2014 when i was looking at tv's the w48605bb was the budget king.
